Opportunity to be part of an innovative and exciting new project. Odyssey House and Pathway Trust are establishing a women-only reintegration alcohol and other drug treatment service in Christchurch.
We are looking for support workers, preferably with lived experience of alcohol and/or other drug use and/or mental health problems to provide support to the 8 wahine living in residence at any time.
In this role you will driving residents to appointments, tending to day to day activities with the residents such as preparing food and participating in outdoor activities, co-ordinating group experiences, role modelling positive behaviours and responding to situations as they arise.
You will need:
good organisational skills
full clean driver's licence
to be a team player working with clinicians and other support workers
ability to build community networks and relationships
to have an understanding of the challenges that our residents face
Minimum of Level 4 qualification in a health and wellbeing or similar
The roster rotates between 7am and 11pm seven days per week, so you will need to be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week within these times. This service commences in January 2021.
