    • Furniture Zone has stores around the North Island, all of which stock and sell great quality and value for money furniture and beds.

    We have a position available for an experienced Retail Sales Consultant to join our Whanganui team.

    This opportunity would suit someone who is looking to take on more responsibility as you will cover for the Store Manager in his absence.

    In this part time role you will primarily work Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays however we do require someone who is flexible and able to work additional hours as needed.

    The successful candidate will understand what it takes to deliver excellent customer service, have a solid retail background and know what it takes to succeed in a competitive sales environment.

    You will also need:
    • 2+ years experience in retail with proven experience achieving performance-based KPIs
    • Clear understanding of the Consumer Guarantees Act and other consumer-related legislation
    • Knowledge of and ability to follow all health and safety regulations
    • Strong communication and people skills
    • A positive attitude and friendly personality
    • Self motivation
    • To be reliable and flexible
    • To be fit and able to lift furniture
    • Good computer skills
