  • Barfoot & Thompson Support Centre is looking for a Sponsorship & Events Coordinator to join our team.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Assist planning and delivery of sponsorship and events programme
    • Create activation pipeline across the portfolio, leveraging contractual partner benefits
    • Stakeholder and supplier management
    • Provide guidance to branch network activating local partnerships
    • Support on financial matters (budget setting/invoicing)
    • Plan and organise events
    • Lead on sponsorship planning surrounding PR/Communication
    To be successful in this role you will need to have 2+ years' experience working across event agency and/or rights holder, experience creating innovative or engaging activations that are public facing, as well as hands-on attitude.

    We're looking for a strong planner with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to promote the sponsorship and events programme to both colleagues and the consumer.

    Other key skills and attributes include:
    • Prior event management or project management experience preferred
    • Superior time management and organizational skills
    • Understanding on how sponsorships are rolled out and leveraged
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • A creative mindset
    • Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work as part of a team
    • Have a working knowledge of social media, communications & content marketing, lead generation and publications in order to bring a marketing focus to executing events and leveraging sponsorships
    • Be able to report and analyse relevant data, providing learnings and recommendations for future events
    • Be calm under pressure and able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
    • Be a team player, collaborative and effective in working with and managing multiple internal and external stakeholders
    • Demonstrates problem-solving ability requiring judgement and interpretation of established information
    • Have excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • A current driver's licence
