  • Are you an experienced and mechanically minded assembly technician with ownership of your work? Are you willing to contribute to our growth in a highly productive environment?

    We are looking for a skilled Trailer Assembly Technician to join our team and bring steel frames into fully functional trailers. Your job is the key to integrate all the kitset components to a final Kea product and there is a high expectation of your commitment to quality and productivity. Most of your work will revolve around assembling standard trailers of our current range, sub-component pre-assembly, post-galvanizing inspections and despatch of accessories.

    More than 40,000 trailers have been built at Kea Trailers and all happens here in Maui St, Hamilton, always innovating and offering custom solutions to cater for our customer's specific needs.

    Our successful applicant will have:
    • 10+ years of experience in a similar role
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in English
    • Proactive commitment to Health & Safety
    • Physically fit to undertake job related tasks. Remain Drug-free with pass of regular ongoing screening.
    • Great attitude, enthusiastic and ability to self-motivate.
    • Be dependable and punctual
    • Current and clean NZ full drivers licence
    • No criminal convictions
    • Respectful to your work colleges, supervisors and management team
    • Technically competent with practical mind than can figure things out
    • Understand the importance of being part of a Team as the goals of the company are not achievable as individuals
    • Able to work unsupervised and well organised
    • Class 2 Truck License will be an advantage
    • Basic IT / Admin skills will be an advantage
    This role is workshop based without travelling, work hours: 8.00 to 16.30 Monday to Friday - overtime may be required due to peaks of demand.
