  • This is partially a hands on role (estimate 30%) with the balance being a welding and fabricating supervisor.

    Marine & Industrial Engineering are looking to employ a Welding and Fabrication Supervisor to join our team in West Auckland.

    As a hands on fitter you will be required to have an extensive knowledge of marine engine room equipment and the servicing/overhauling of that equipment. This includes main engine rebuilds to servicing of pumps.

    As one of our Supervisors you need to be able to lead by example and ensure your team delivers the highest quality work. This position could suit someone with good supervisory experience, or a skilled and qualified tradesperson looking to take the next step in their career, ideally with marine diesel and general fitting experience.

    The successful candidate will also need to possess the following key personal attributes:

    You'll be working closely with management to supervise a team. Good time management skills are essential for this role. You will be responsible for achieving a high level of finish and supervising a clean and tidy workshop.

    A full New Zealand Drivers Licence is essential for this position, as while the position is based in Auckland, travel is required.
